–I feel so patriotic working on this today.

–Here's progress on the most recent project. I recently been very inspired by more shape-driven and patterned illustrations. I have been challenging myself to be less reliant on line with these illustrations, mainly using them for an overall texture rather than a necessity for solidifying the image. So far I am happy with the results– and on to the next.

—Here's another post from my recent sketchbook project I'm doing with a friend. The theme for this page was a red wood forest. There's actually more to this sketch on a second page, but I'm saving that to finish for a later date. I still very much enjoy what I was able to capture here. Enjoy

–More process work; plants, rocks, fish, and things.

–Preview of the night's work. I'm in the beginning stages of the coloring phase on a new book project that should be completed early February. Keep on the lookout for more posts to come!

—A very belated Happy 2012! With this new year has come some big changes. I recently moved shop to Chicago, IL and started on a fun sketchbook project with my dear friend Hilary. We selected 30 various topics and are working our way through them with a new page every couple of days. Here's the first, being "Plants."
